Bated Breath's Interlude inspired by the art and life of painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec brings to life the sensory world of the artist in this 40 minute, visual and experiential feast. Journey with Bated Breath Theatre Company as they move through the space of your museum exploring the complicated life and art of painter Toulouse-Lautrec. Bated Breath will pull you into Lautrec’s seductive Parisian world of Montmartre and the Moulin Rouge during the late 1800s, through the embodiment and exploration of the artist’s beautiful and grotesque images.
The Un-making of Toulouse-Lautrec premiered to sold out crowds and standing ovations at The Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, Connecticut and was subsequently featured as a centerpiece of the New Britain Museum of American Art's Toulouse-Lautrec exhibition which was the first U.S. tour of Toulouse-Lautrec & His World .
